The Tama Speed Cobra Hi Hat Stand (HH915N) brings the core design from the Iron Cobra Hi-Hat Stand, which is know as one of the best hi-hats in the world, and adds to it the footboard from the Speed Cobra Bass Drum Pedal, which gives more control and sensitivity to the player, for really flexible footwork. Everything has been put in place with the Tama Speed Cobra Hi Hat Stand to give you the perfect hi-hat. Tama’s famous Lever-Glide System is just one example of this, bringing you a smoother, lighter feel and fast action. The Swing Lock Clutch allows the cymbal to float, which means more natural resonance, while the Spring Seat tilts the bottom cymbal, proving a crisper and clearer hi-hat sound. The Tama Speed Cobra Hi Hat Stand’s two-leg design makes it quick and easy to set up and tear down, even when space is at a premium, and it’s actually more stable than its three-legged counterparts. This is thanks to the small stabiliser under the footboard, which sets the balance towards the player. Each leg is fitted with a Duo-Spike. This gives you the option of keeping the stand in place with small spikes or switching back to rubber feet, with just a drum key. Adjustments Everything is here for you to set up the Tama Speed Cobra Hi Hat Stand in the way that suits you best. You have the choice of six clearly indicated settings of tension. The footboard angle can be adjusted to match the slave-side footboard of your double pedal. With loosening a T-bolt you can tilt the hi-hat cymbal for a flexible set-up that suits you. Durability A number of features have been crammed into the Tama Speed Cobra Hi Hat Stand that pushes its durability even further. One such feature is the Spare-The-Rods tension rod protector. To stop tensions rods getting bent during transit, they are stowed away in the upper tube and held in place with the hi-hat clutch. To stop the cymbal rod loosening during your performance, specially shaped plastic and metal nuts are designed to fit together perfectly. Oiles bearings (which are used in the aerospace industry) are used in the construction of the Tama Speed Cobra Hi-Hat Stand as they provide less friction, eliminate side-to-side motion and are exceptionally durable.
